25 megabytes of storage space. - This is the total amount of mail and attachments that you are allowed to store on the system at one time. You control what you keep or delete. The more mail or the larger the attachments that you receive, the more space that is used. Your opening mail page will tell you how much space you have used up each time you log in. If your mail box should reach capacity at 25MB it will then refuse all new e-mail until you remove old material.
Send attachments - Using your e-mail program, you can use the mail composing window to locate files on your hard drive or floppy disk to send as an attachment to the main mail message. This can be used to send word processor documents, images, etc. The end user is responsible for any decoding necessary to view the attachment. Some mail programs or browsers do this automatically. Some people may need a 3rd party conversion program. We can't predict what your needs may be.
Customizable Address Book - As with any web based mail program, you can store your favorite and frequently used addresses in your on-line storage area. Your address book is private and cannot be accessed by anyone. And of course you can use your personal address book within your e-mail program as well. Use both!
The Search this web side option for mail allows you to enter a word or phrase and search through all mail in your folders for that word or phrase. If you search for "John" it displays a list of all e-mail messages with the word "John" in it.
On-Screen appearance preferences - This is how you want the screen to display messages to you on the web side.
Personal preferences for mail handling - Allows you to "filter" certain addresses into holding folders that you establish or the trash folder so you do not have to deal with them on the web side.
Multiple filing folders - You can establish almost any number of folders in which you can store and handle mail on the web side.
Ability to harvest E-mail from other POP3 mail services - You can set the service to periodically check any other POP (Post Office Protocols) accessible mail service that you may have and transfer that mail to your web based account for handling here. Just enter your account user name, password, and pop mail server name in the appropriate fields and tell the system to get that e-mail.
Footnote:- You cannot access E-mail from America On-Line ™ (AOL) or CompuServe 2000 ™ because they use a proprietary format for their e-mail that prevents access from outside sources. You can access their e-mail if you have an account there with their access program or their own web browser mail interfaces. You also cannot access IMAP type E-mail services.
The Customizable "REPLY-TO" address - on the web side, allows you to insert an address different from the one that identifies your web mail account that will appear on all e-mail. All web mail accounts have an address of UserName@webmail.sunclad.net. If you establish a different REPLY-TO address, that is what end users will see, and they send their mail replies to that address. For example, if you set your web mail account to harvest e-mail from work, you can set the REPLY-TO address for your work e-mail address. The recipient will think that you have replied from there and will send all responses there. This makes our web mail ideal for those who travel a lot.
Customizable signature line - This allows you to place a small name or phrase at the end of each message.
POP3 Program access - Bypass the web pages entirely and use your favorite e-mail program to access your mail
NO ADVERTISING - No advertisng. You bypass the web site if you want and get your mail directly, and no advertising is inserted at the end of your e-mail either.
