Usenet is an interconnection of topical messages shared between computers. While a handful newsgroups may be moderated, the vast majority are not. Usenet was and remains the first informational sharing service between computers, and by default, those persons with access to a local Usenet News Server. Some Internet Presence Providers (ISP) offer Usenet newsgroups to their customer base, others do not. Usenet can be purchased as a separate service if your ISP does not carry them..
A note to Google ™ users
Usenet is not Google Groups.
Google provides a web browser interface to Usenet groups and also archives old Usenet content for historical purposes. Google then adapted the same web browser interface to allow individuals to create their own personal and private groups that never propagate outside of the Google system. Google Groups and Usenet are separate services on the internet. Google does not own Usenet and has no authority over it. Its a shame that Google does not make this clearer. Save yourself some stress and learn the difference.

Read the FAQ, learn your news readring software program, observe before posting, and you should have a reasonably decent experience. As to the kooks and the kook enablers, they make themselves obvious.
Please note the author of the following FAQ file(s) is not a final authority on the topic of naturism/ / nudism. Please do not e-mail me for specific information on beaches or clubs. There are hundreds of each and I don keep track of all of them. Read the FAQ, reference the home pages of the national organizations, and contact a group that is geographically near to where you live for the best information.
