Feel free to also ask questions or leave comments as well.

  • ARRIVE:     Herring Cove Beach Parking Lot, off Rt 6, Provincetown at 9:00 AM

  • BRING / WEAR:     Work Gloves, hiking shoes/sneakers/sandals, dress for the weather (This is a clothed event. A cool day and breeze at the coast is not unheard of in June. Plan accordingly!), water bottle with water to keep hydrated while working, pocket snacks.

  • ASSIGNMENTS:     Cape Cod National Seashore staff will provide transportation to various drop-off points along Race Point Beach. They will also provide work tools and trash bags.

  • PICK-UP:     Trash, of course. You can leave filled bags on the beach. The NPS staff will collect those later.

  • LUNCH:     Cookout of hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages, veggie burgers, and fries to be held in the parking lot. Registration is necessary for us to plan how much food we will need. Plan to eat with us? Register, please!

    After the Clean-Up:

  • POST CLEAN-UP:     We’ve been asked if we can be nude on the beach after the clean-up. The official answer is no. However, particpants should interact with coalition organizers for information on that very possibility elsewhere on the Cape, weather permitting!

  • DINNER:     Dinner plans, if you stay on the Cape, are up to you. Sometimes one or more individuals will arrange a group dinner someplace in Provincetown or Truro for those interested (Dutch treat - pay your own way). The group meets (usually) at the Seascape Motor Inn, in Truro as a stepping off point. Coordinate that morning or afternoon at the clean-up meeting point.
